Calvin Bassham, the founder of Bassham Foods, started the company in the late forties. With only a flat bed truck, Calvin traveled from country farm to country farm picking up fresh eggs and live poultry. In 1953, located on Hemphill St. in a small building behind a seamstress' operation. Basshams was a thriving business with the grading and packaging of eggs. Serving Vandervoort Dairies, Oak Farms Dairies and Sammy's Pride retail stores. Our growth took us to another facility of 4,000 sq. ft. thereby stepping into the foodservice industry in 1966. Ronnie Bassham , son of Calvin, expanded the business further by selling eggs to the International House of Pancakes.
