Afrisian Ginning Limited (AGL) was established in 1995, at a time when the Tanzanian economy began its liberalization programme. The primary aim of the company was to gain entry into Tanzania's cotton sector in order to supply the local and export market with cotton lint.

Throughout its existence, AGL has seeked opportunities to increase its trading activities, both within the cotton sector and beyong. The company has a presence in trading a varety of pulses, including yellow gram, greem mung, pigeon peas, maize as well as cashew nuts and peanuts.

Through its honesty, dedication and quality produce, AGL has aquired a strong customer base throughout the Middle East, the Indian Sub-Continent, the Far-East and Sub-Saharan Africa.
